Electric Skateboards
Location:
Eight Ball Wireless Electric SkateboardsAll 8 Ball boards come with an ultra strong, solid wood, laminated deck with a maple wood grain finish and tough non slip coating. Speed is controlled by a wireless two way, handheld pistol grip RF transmitter. An infinitely variable trigger allows for the smooth and progressive application of power and also controls the DC motor braking system to provide enhanced deceleration. Please note: It is NOT legal to ride an electric skateboard on the public highway in the UK. Check out the following footage to see how they ride..... FAQHow fast will the boards go? It depends on the model, but about 36km/h is the approximate top speed. How far do the boards go on a single charge? Up to 24.85km, depending on the model. Be aware that the batteries will need to be charged / drained / re-charged a few times before they reach their maximum capacity. How do they work? The wireless electric skateboard board is powered by a either a 24V or 36V electric motor using lead acid sealed batteries as the energy source. The boards are controlled by a handheld wireless controller that offers a variable throttle and regenerative braking. You simply stand on the board and pull the trigger to accelerate, and push the trigger forward to brake. The torque is strong at full throttle, but using a feather touch on the trigger allows the rider to apply only a small amount of power. It's relatively simple to "roll the board along" at very low speeds. Pushing forward on the controller’s trigger applies resistance to the skateboard's motor, providing an effective braking system. The board can be controlled effectively down most hills with the braking system. The braking system does not bring the board to a total stop, but the resistance applied works well on a skateboard, giving you the most control possible. You can go down a hill with ease, whereas on the same hill with a "regular" longboard you could lose control. Or you can do big slalom turns at either fast or slow speeds, and you can speed up or slow down as required. With these electric skateboards, you have hands free operation so there's no tether to get tangled up in. What kind of surfaces can I ride them on? Cement, asphalt, wood and concrete. The Eight Ball Electric Skateboard is designed to be ridden on SMOOTH, DRY surfaces. Riding on anything else will result in damage to the electronics and require repair. Do they have brakes? Yes. It's called regenerative braking - or Motor braking. Pushing forward on the remote's trigger applies resistance to the skateboard's motor providing an effective braking system. Can they go up hill? Yes, it will climb a fairly steep hill, if you can hold on. It's best to traverse up hills, since this reduces the grade and stress on the motor and increases the fun - carving up the hill! Does the Electric Skateboard have a Cruise Control? Yes What is the minimum age? We would suggest that no one under the age of 12 rides the Electric Skateboards – unless with adult supervision.
